Physics Wheels - Dream Reality (1997)

A fascinating artifact; 90s psych-post-rock made by skaters for their own video. The very definition of DIY.

Way down under, New Zealanders also discovered the appeal of playing hooky guitar pop over reverb. The Anglosphere is undefeated at this.

One of those classic East Coast college rock bands that never really got their due, despite impressing some pretty big figures, like Lucinda Williams and Wynona Ryder.

Underlooked Afrobeat that was reissued by Hot Casa Records a decade back. How can someone named Orlando Julius not bang?

Wildly funky and futuristic, sounds straight out of the SEGA Genesis’ sound chip.

Cecil Leuter - Altitude 3000 (1985)

Juicy Moog synth from a pioneer of the genre. Also track 2 on this recording is broken but sounds very cool, like you’ve unlocked a secret track.
